This collection features environments and props created from scratch across the full production pipeline, with an emphasis on storytelling through composition, material creation, and lighting design.
Inspired by Appalachian folklore, this environment depicts an abandoned church sitting over a swamp. Somewhere long forgotten by people, but still inhabited by resilient plant life and a mysterious being with his boat.

This project was all about environmental story-telling and how to characterize a character through their space. The character who's space this is a "tech bro" living alone. He begins feeling paranoid, knowing he's involved in some shady circles, he flees suddenly.

An animated short film modeled in Maya, textured in Substance Painter, and lit and rendered in Arnold.
I acted as the sole environment artist, lighter, and technical advisor to the director/animator.
I modeled everything in accordance with the concept work done by the director, as well as a style guide.
A mixture of constant environment lighting and animated lights was used, all done by me with feedback from the director.
